WHAT IS HALAL?
Halal is an Arabic word meaning lawful or permitted. In reference to food, it is the dietary standard, as prescribed in the Qur’an (the Muslim scripture). The opposite of halal is haram, which means unlawful or prohibited.
IS YOUR FOOD HALAL?
Yes! Our mission is to produce and promote the highest quality halal options for our customers without sacrificing process, quality, or price. When we say Halal, we mean it.
Our Product Development team as well as our Halal certifying partners have a rigorous assessment process to ensure that all of our processes and ingredients meet Halal-certification requirements.
We source only hand-zabiha meats from multiple-certification suppliers in Canada (specifically our meat is locally-sourced from St Helens Meat in the GTA. Their certifications can be found
here) and HMS-certified (Halal Monitoring Services) and/or AZA-certified (American Zabiha Authority) suppliers in the USA.

We accept all major credit cards.
If a purchase is made over DM on Instagram or Facebook, Interac e-Transfer (Canada) and Venmo Transfers (US) may be accepted. Applicable taxes will still apply.
WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?
If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us within 14 days of your purchase. We’ll be happy to replace an item for the same item you ordered or provide a full refund.
If approved, your refund will be processed. A credit will automatically be applied to the credit card originally used to purchase the product.
If you haven’t received a refund yet, check your bank account first. Then, contact your credit card company; it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next, contact your bank. There’s often some processing time before a refund is posted.

ARE YOUR PRODUCTS ___-FREE?
ARE YOUR PRODUCTS GLUTEN-FREE?
All of the products that are gluten-free are clearly marked with a designation on the package. Our products labeled as “gluten-free” undergo ingredient review , special production procedures and safeguards to ensure compliance.
IS THERE MSG IN YOUR PRODUCTS?
MSG is a flavor enhancer that is used in some products to give it a more savory, mouth-watering flavor. All of our products that contain monosodium glutamate (MSG) are clearly labeled, as required by law. MSG is not allowed to be listed under “flavorings” or “spices” so it will always be clearly listed as “monosodium glutamate” on the label.
ARE THERE NITRITES IN YOUR PRODUCTS?
Yes, we use sodium nitrites to preserve our products. Nitrites and their natural plant-based alternatives are added for several reasons. They help with flavor development and color retention when added to cured meats. But, the most important reason is food safety. Nitrites are an effective component in preventing the growth of bacteria that cause food borne illnesses.
WHAT ALLERGENS ARE LABELED ON THE PACKAGE?
Our products are labeled in compliance with government regulations. We recognize the eight major allergens – eggs, fish, crustacean/shellfish, milk, peanuts, soy, tree nuts and wheat – and they will be listed in the ingredient statement found on the package label. The best way to obtain allergen information is to check the ingredient statement on the package before consuming the product.
WHAT IS THE SHELF LIFE OF YOUR BEEF JERKY?
1 YEAR. The best by date printed on our packaging is the date we know the product will still be as fresh as the day it was packaged. We cannot guarantee the optimal quality of any of our products after the best by date (or more than three days after the package is opened). Simply put, we don’t recommend consuming any product after the date listed on the package.
DO YOUR PRODUCTS HAVE TO BE REFRIGERATED?
If the package has not been opened, PRIZM products will remain fresh without refrigeration. Once the package has been opened, be sure to refrigerate or eat within three days.
We advise against freezing the meat snacks as they won’t provide an optimal snacking experience. Sure, they’re still perfectly fit for consumption, but their texture and taste can change.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR MY PRODUCTS TO ARRIVE?
We usually ship the same day that we receive the order. Our shipping partners provide us with 1-2 shipping SLA guarantees in most of Canada and the contiguous United States.
Due to COVID and current lock-downs, lead times for shipments are between 2-3 days. That is - it will take 2-3 days to prepare your order before it is dispatched from our facilities. Customers in Ontario and Quebec can expect courier services to deliver their parcels in 2-3 days. Customers in all other provinces can expect their parcels to arrive within 15 days of dispatch.
